Production and Team

This truly outstanding Hiking Theater in the rear Ötztal valley is put on stage by Hubert Lepka and the ultimate lawine torrèn artistic network. The entire open-air sage play is a cooperation of lawine torrèn, Ernst Lorenzi and Ötztal Tourismus, supported by Tirol's local government, the Alpine Club and Austria's bm:ukk Ministery. "Friedl" is a quite unspectacular and unimposing production without any apparent technical effects or interventions. Maybe that's the reason why this theater play has so many startling effects.

lawine torrèn

Already since 1992, the lawine torrèn artistic team has been working as an open network of dancers, actors, multimedia artists and technical experts focusing on performances and special stages spread over huge natural ambiances: Alpine landscapes, airports, cities, forests and rivers play host to the most outstanding productions. Choreographies include not only men, animals and their habitats but also create a connection between films and theater plays. The cast can comprise three or three hundred people and machines, interacting in the most different ways. A precise artistic creation takes place in an authentic setting, within a strictly predefined range of time. Similar to a film, this timeline helps to synchronize the single actions and stages. Fiction does not depend on the interpretation of reality but on the perpetual capability - in other words: a choreographic reform.
